Iceage/Jeff the Brotherhood/Fucked Up @ Royale June 24

Iceage
Jeff the Brotherhood

Fucked Up

Wow. This was an absolutely incredible show. Every band brought it and took it to another level. Really a shame that I could only experience this one time. I would love to go to this show over and over again. The only complaint is that all I have are blurry photos from the show. This is the last time I am going to bring my pos Camera, but with the number of stage divers I am glad I didn't have the nice camera with me. Anyway, a more detailed description after the jump.

If there ever was a Noise Verse Noise show

Please Please Please, do not email me for free tickets.  I do not have any.  I stole this from a Bowery Boston email.  The early show is kind of a surprise, but it should be pretty awesome.  All ages are always a lot of fun as well.  Look at that lineup - Iceage, Jeff the Brotherhood, and Fucked Up - current owners of best album of the year.  Actually, all three bands have released absolutely incredible albums this year.  I think this might be Iceage's first or maybe second American show ever - so lets show these boys how Boston does shows!  I am going to do a review of Iceage's debut early next week.  Anyway, hope to see you all there!

Iceage

Iceage - Broken Bone by What's Your Rupture?

Iceage are a new band coming out of Copenhagen, Denamrk. They make that kind of blurry, lo-fi punk rock that kicks you in the head as soon as it starts. They have been compared to No Age (don't exactly hear it) and Fucked Up (I can hear it, plus they are touring together). I personally thinks they sound like a more abstract Refused if they spent their time listening to Liars, but that might just be me. They deffinitely sound urgent and like they want to fuck shit up. They mix no wave style recordings with Television-esque guitars and hardcore drumming.  I am really enjoying these guys and can not wait to see them.  They have a new record, New Brigade, coming out June 21 on What's Your Rupture? Tour Dates and another song below.
