John Talabot

Let check in with our good friend John Talabot. Last time he had just released his debut album, ƒIN  which featured the classic "So Will Be Now...". Now he is back with two unreleased songs from the ƒIN sessions. Both tracks have a very space-y air-y quality to them. They are the perfect segway tracks between ƒIN's denser darker tracks. They are also the sort of songs that remind you why the XX would choose John Talabot as the opener for their current tour.

T-E-E-D x John Talabot

Confession: I have meant to check out T-E-E-D - Total Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs for the past couple months. They are brought up in conversation or on the bill of shows, but I always forgot to give them a good listen. In a completely unsurprising move it takes a John Talabot remix to get me to finally check them out. John Talabot can not be stopped, the man has a gift for creating heady psychedelic house music that absolutely takes over. Between the synths, the stuttering drums, and the vocal distortion within 30 seconds you know what you got. Enjoy the start to your weekend! Off the forthcoming Tapes & Money Single featuring other remixes by MJ Cole, Casino Times, and Eats Everything.

John Talabot

I am not sure I can put into words how excited I am for John Talabot's debut album. The man is a god. Above is the first taste of the new album. "So will be now..." is a 6 minute slow burning dubby, psychedelic house monster. This is the sound of 4 AM cab rides from crazy clubs. First post of 2012!

John Talabot

I think at this point it is pretty well noted that I love John Talabot. He has a new record coming out soon and just posted this "Changed" remix to his soundcloud. Check it out below and also check out a couple other choice cuts!

Coachella Day 2

JOHN TALABOT / Families (Ft Glasser) by Young Turks

I know I can not be the only one who still plays Sunshine all the time. Glasser are definitely getting serious plays over here as well. This release sounds like it will be fantastic!
