Summer Heart

For those that do not remember, Summer Heart is a one man project out of Sweden. His newest song is the fantastic "Third Wave". It comes just in time for summer and the warmer days. The rhythm on this track is absolutely fantastic, I love the disco beat - reminiscent of Toro y Moi's "Still Sound" without feeling like a rip off. This is definitely a song that will soundtrack many a summer night party/kick back. "A Million times" is the first single from his forthcoming album, About a Feeling. Its got a nice bouncy, light feel to it. Welcome back Summer, we missed you!

Blackbird Blackbird

As I am sure everyone knows by now, Noise Verse Noise loves Blackbird Blackbird. So whenever we see a new track by him - you know its going up. Blackbird's latest offering is going to get some love from us. "New Leaf" is pop-y tropical track that keeps everything light and moving. Its a little faster than other tracks that we have featured. When the bass kicks in a third of the way through the track, the song gains a real sense of momentum. Another solid track from Blackbird Blackbird.

Washed Out

Washed Out - Call It Off by WeirdWorldRecordCo

Here is "Call it Off" the B side to Washed Out's newest single "Amor Fati".  "Amor Fati" originally appeared on Within Without.  "Call it Off" has a seriously Balearic sound, how epic would a Lindstrøm or Prins Thomas edit of this thing be?

Small Black

Small Black f. Heems, "Two Rivers" by The FADER

This is the first of two songs that Small Black did with Heems of Das Racist.  “Two Rivers” is the lead single off of Small Black’s upcoming mixtape Moon Killer, which will be available for download dropping Nov. 11.  Really interested in hearing who else Small Black may have collaborated with for this mixtape.

The New Division

Shallow Play by The New Division

  Opium by The New Division

The New Division are a band out of Los Angeles that specialize in that 80's electronic/chillwave sound.  They have the keyboard lines and reverb soaked vocals of classic Depeche Mode or Erasure songs.  You can clearly hear those bands influence on The New Division, but N.D. never come off as copy cats.  They stand out due to strong song writing and creating engrossing soundscapes.  Their newest track "Shallow Play" should appeal to any who is a fan of either Small Black or Joy Division.  It has a very beach-y guitar line, but maintains a driving drum pattern. I personally think that "Opium" is their best track. It has a hypnotic and narcotic sound, that I can just not get enough of.
